We're very excited to welcome Jamie Bobrowski into the EdSmart team as Business Development Manager. Let's get to know him better.

Even though Jamie Bobrowski wears the EdSmart badge for the first time in 2022, he is already a familiar face with us and many school leaders across Australia.

Jamie's experience includes 11 years in the independent and Catholic Education sector, a decorated 11-year career as a member of Victoria Police and nearly four years as a proven RegTech and EdTech SaaS GRC sales consultant with EdSmart's integration partner, CompliSpace, focusing on the development of their SafeTripBuilder excursion risk management tool. He now brings his practical experience, extensive leadership qualities, mentorship and unquestionable customer focus to EdSmart as our Business Development Manager.

Having led 100 outdoor camps and seven overseas school trips during his time at St Patrick's College in Ballarat, Jamie isn't just aware of the governance, compliance and risk requirements of schools; he's experienced them first hand. This puts him in the perfect position to help schools run better.

What else is there to know about Jamie? We subjected him to the five-question test below.

  1. If you were to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
    Passionate, determined, loyal.

  2. What's your favourite colour and your favourite book?
Blue and I'm not really a reading guy, but my favourite book that has been adapted for the big screen is Game of Thrones.

  3. On the weekend, you like to…
Spend quality time with my wife and family, walking my dogs and relaxing in my garden.

  4. What's your motto in life?
“If you always do what you’ve always done; you’ll always get what you’ve always got."

  5. If you could speak to yourself as a school student, what advice would you give?
Don’t hurry – be patient because it will happen. And not every student has to go to university. The world can be what you want it to be.
