Improved User Experience
We understand that improving the performance of Templates and Processes so you can manage school excursions seamlessly is important. We are working to remove redundancy wherever it occurs, including within Template Workflows and Process progression. For example, being able to by-pass unnecessary workflow steps or being taken straight to a Form after clicking the link and authenticating.
We are also working to make Processes better for multiple participants beyond the basic Process/Form Creator.

Enhanced flexibility when communicating with families
We know that the communication needs of schools and their families are not one-size-fits-all. Some families, including split families, have more than one actively involved decision maker, so we are working to provide a better experience for your parents, regardless of their family situation.

Augmented Templates and Workflows for better customisation
EdSmart Templates and their associated Workflows allow schools to create bespoke digital documents that consistently follow internal policies and procedures.
You already love that our Slip Responses and Analysis tabs provide rich information at a glance, so we want to add that functionality to Forms as well.
Integrated access to Student Lists and User Groups allow quick and easy selection of Recipients when creating Forms and Slips from your Templates. In addition to improved general performance and usability for Template managers, we will bring the ease of Student Lists to more Template types, and increase User Group flexibility by allowing sub-groups.
With our upcoming developments and improvements, you can look forward to an even more streamlined and efficient communication experience for your school community.

Everything you see in EdSmart is there because schools have asked for it. We have implemented more than 30 improvements in the EdSmart interface in the last 12 months, along with many improvements ‘behind the scenes’ to the underlying infrastructure and services to improve performance and reliability.
Some updates were simple, like adding sorting Parent Slips by the calendar date. Others had significant impact, such as implementing conditional workflows to Parent/Student Slip & School Form templates.
We welcome all feedback, ideas and contributions. We cannot guarantee that we will build everything you ask for; however, we monitor all the feedback regularly and endeavour to synthesise and meld all of your suggestions into the development roadmap.
